  4. Hello, I just started following your blog and I wanted to say thank you for being so detailed :o) I am hoping to be banded in the next month and your posts have been very helpful. My mouth is watering for a Nectar protein shake, lol. I think it is so cool that you and your hubs were banded together. It must help to have him as a partner in this journey.

    1. Hi Reggie :) thank you for following! Keep me posted on your surgery and how everything goes. This surgery was the single best thing I have ever done for myself. Seriously my mouth still waters for nectar protein shakes! I just started using another one that I'll post soon made by the same company.

  5. Yes, it does leave a nasty aftertaste/feel, but the purple is not too terrible and it's easy to swallow. I use the purple when I need to up my protein and can't stand the thought of anything with texture.

  6. I'm getting banded in two weeks and I've bought samples to test out before my liquid diet. I purchased two different flavors of this: Blue Rasp and Apple Melon. So far Blue Rasp. is ok but I get that chalky, filmy taste on my tongue and it's annoying. Flavor is great though!

Is there anything I can mix this with to have it taste better and still be a clear liquid? Could I freeze it into a Popsicle and still have it contain the 40g of protein? Any help would be amazingly great!

    Thanks.

    1. That is an awesome idea to freeze it! You can get popsicle molds for a buck or two. I don't know if freezing it alters the protein content, but I'm guessing no. You'd just have to divide the protein up amongst the popsicles that you make. Popsicles really helped me the week after surgery. I really had a hard time getting all of my fluids in.

As far as the clear protein I honestly don't know. I saw that Syntrax Nectar (along with most other brands) make unflavored protein, but I don't know if that would be considered a clear liquid!!

  7. Maybe people who are more than 100 pounds overweight may find it impossible to lose weight through traditional methods and look for weight-loss new treatments and surgeries to reach long-term weight loss.

  8. liposuction or bariatric surgery is performed to decrease added fat padding usually found in the abdominal area. Often, all other measures have been exhausted, such as diet, nutritional planning and exercise
