Listen to THIS crazy story! I went to the Y this morning but had to go to the chiropractor after work, so my hubby went to Planet Fitness himself tonight right after work.
He said when he was working out on the elliptical tons of pizzas were delivered to the gym. They set up plates and paper towels and everyone at the gym was walking in and walking out eating tons of pizza. Then the pizzas just kept coming.
WHAT THE? MS said he had to kind of walk himself off the ledge and talk himself out of grabbing a slice on the way out of the gym. He said that he figured he could just eat the cheese and pepperoni, but he talked himself out of it, because he knew if he ate it he probably wouldn't be able to eat dinner tonight.
Why on earth would a gym do that?! I don't know about you, but every time I jumped off the diet wagon it got harder and harder for me to get back on! I don't know maybe it's just me and the fact that I've had an unhealthy relationship with food my whole life but that just blows my mind!
What do you guys think?
My friend got me to join Planet Fitness also and she told me about the Monday pizza thing. Pizza is a huge trigger food for me...like, HUGE. Needless to say, I've avoided the gym on Monday nights.
ReplyDeleteP.S. thank you so much for the sweet comment on my post last week. It was much appreciated :)
So they do this every Monday??!! OMG! That is insane to me. It's a huge trigger for me too. What in the world!
DeleteI wrote you a long comment yesterday, then I hit escape and lost the whole thing! Wanted to tell you that you will be wearing that cute outfit before you know it! I adore that you did this at your age. Your skin is going to tighten right up and you're going to be a skinny minnie before you know it! I can't wait to shop at a regular store!!!
If I paid money to a gym and this is what they did routinely, I'd be pissed. It's like they're intentionally sabotaging their clientele! I believe I'd have to say something to management!
ReplyDeleteJust keeping themselves in business I suppose. I would despise it if I was a member there though.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a great way to keep your clientele in need of your services! I'd have to avoid Mondays there, too - pizza sets me right off. Good for MS, though, for being able to walk away!
ReplyDeletethats huge for him to be able to walk away. I would have had to run from the building holding as much stuff as possible so I didn't "accidently" grab a piece!
ReplyDeleteHi, just came across your blog and I love it! But yeah, that seems nuts about the gym... I would not be happy.
ReplyDeleteWhat the??? I think that is horrible! What a way to sabatouge people! It's hard getting to the gym as it is much less, the aroma of pizza lingering and then seeing tons of pizzas there in front of you. If they were calling in mini subway sandwiches, salads, something healthy, then I would think it's nice but PIZZA?
ReplyDeleteOnce I saw a guy on the treadmill with a huge baguette sandwich... I almost died. NO FOOD IN THE GYM!
